Reports to Workshop Manager. Responsible for establishing and documenting policies and procedures to quality check manufactured, purchased & service components. Inspect, measure and compare parts using all types of precision measuring equipment. Report and manage the data from the whole inspection process. Provide assistance to Race Team Servicing requirements.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Education and Work Experience:
Previous experience gained in a similar role within the field of Formula 1/WEC/WRC will be preferred however consideration will be given to a candidate who can demonstrate a sound record of service within the industry.
3+ years of QA/QE experience in a manufacturing environment.
2+ years of CMM (Coordinates Measuring Machines) programming experience
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Equipment and Applications:
CMM Machine, Rockwell tester, assorted precision gauges and micrometers, various hand tools, Computer and associated programming software.
Work Environment Physical Demands:
An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role requires a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.
This position may require lifting up to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast- paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands.
Work environment includes race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids.
